The final product

Well I FINALLY managed to finish the bookshelf.  It took a lot longer than expected and was much harder than I thought it would be but I'm very happy with the finished product.  The new green knob is from Anthropologie.  It came with a screw too short so I had to get a new one.  Then, the new screw was shiny while the rest of the knob had a vintage look so I had to make it look tarnished.  The way I did that was by holding it in the flame of a match.  Works like a charm!

Eirene means Peace in Greek.  It is the original word used to describe Peace in the New Testament and is something I am working towards.  Complete Peace in Christ.  Enjoy!

The Perfect Weekend

Last weekend was amazing!  The Navarre's (minus Sami), Justin Wisniewski and Jake Malanophy were in Phoenix so I got to spend the entire weekend down there.  We got to do so many fun things! It was the perfect way to take my mind off of everything

One thing we got to do was tube down a river.  It was such a blast! We managed to find the perfect spot to cliff jump too!
The Cardinals played the Saints on Sunday and I am an AVID Cardinals fan!  We had great seats, 20 rows up right on the end zone.  Plus, they beat the Saints, which was a great upset!
The main reason everyone was in Phoenix was for the Jack Johnson concert.  I've always been a Jack fan and he put on an incredible show.  It was way better than I expected and a great time to spend with some old friends.
We also went on a couple of hikes.  Hiking in Phoenix is so much different than hiking in Alaska.  The heat was almost unbearable and I almost passed out during one of them.

Trey and I are no longer dating.  Things weren't working long distance and he wasn't putting in the effort he needed to be.  This weekend was just what I needed to take my mind off of him and the stress of school.  I got to think about nothing all weekend, while hanging out with my favorite people.  It was perfect :)
